Level 3 Open Meet β 3SW262058
AST will be attending the Somerset ASA Development Meet at Millfield School this October.
This is a great meet for our developing swimmers and those looking to gain more competition experience. With βSlower Thanβ qualifying times across all events, the meet is designed to give swimmers who are still developing their race times the opportunity to compete, build confidence and hopefully pick up some new PBs along the way!
π Who should enter?
We would particularly encourage our developing and younger competitive swimmers to consider entering this meet.
All events have βSlower Thanβ qualifying times, so swimmers must not be faster than the published qualifying time for the event they wish to enter.
If youβre unsure whether this meet is suitable for your swimmer, or which events they should enter, please speak to one of the AST coaches.
π Entries
π· Β£5 per event
π Maximum of 5 events per swimmer
π AST entry deadline: 5pm, 26/09/2026
Please submit your entries through AST before the deadline so that we can process the clubβs entries together.
Weβd love to take a big AST team to Millfield for this one. Itβs a fantastic venue and a great opportunity to get some early-season racing in! π

πββοΈ AST WINTER CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026! π
It's time to get ready for one of the highlights of our swimming calendar β the AST Winter Club Championships!
This is YOUR club, YOUR championships and YOUR opportunity to get involved!
Our Club Championships are all about bringing everyone together, celebrating the progress our swimmers have made and, most importantly, having fun!
Whether you're competing for the first time, chasing a new personal best, looking to win a medal or simply fancy having a go, we want to see you taking part!
π SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!
We want this year's championships to be our most inclusive yet, with opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
β Our youngest swimmers now have their very own 8 & Under 25m events, making this a fantastic introduction to racing in a familiar, supportive environment.
β Our junior and senior swimmers have plenty of opportunities to challenge themselves, race their friends and show off everything they've been working on in training.
β And this year, we're particularly keen to see our adult swimmers getting involved!
πββοΈ CALLING ALL MASTERS SWIMMERS!
We've introduced a brand-new Masters 19+ category, with dedicated medals and Top Points awards!
We would absolutely love to see as many of our Masters swimmers entering as possible.
Whether you swim regularly for fitness, enjoy the social side of the club or still have that competitive streak, this is your chance to get involved!
You don't need to be the fastest, you don't need to be an experienced racer, and you certainly don't need to take it too seriously!
Come along, have a laugh, challenge yourself and show our younger swimmers that swimming really is a sport for life.
No excuses, Masters β we've created a category just for you! ππͺ
π EVERY SWIM COUNTS!
Our team competition is back!
Every swimmer who enters will be randomly allocated to a team, and every valid completed swim earns points towards their team's total.
That means EVERYONE has something to contribute, regardless of age, experience or speed.
You could be swimming your very first 25m race or competing in your hundredth event β your contribution matters!
The winning team will be revealed at our Presentation Night, where every member will receive a medal.
π₯ MORE THAN JUST MEDALS!
Of course, there will be individual medals and Top Points awards up for grabs, but our Club Championships are about so much more than that.
They're about:
π Trying something new.
πͺ Challenging yourself.
β±οΈ Seeing how much you've improved.
π Supporting your teammates.
π Enjoying some friendly competition.
π Making memories and having fun!
For some swimmers, simply stepping onto the starting blocks will be a huge achievement, and that's something worth celebrating just as much as winning a race.
π LET'S GET THE WHOLE CLUB INVOLVED!
We would love to see swimmers from EVERY squad entering this year.
If you've never competed before, don't worry! Club Championships are the perfect place to start. You'll be surrounded by familiar faces, your coaches will be there to support you, and everyone will be cheering you on.
Parents, please encourage your swimmers to give it a go, even if they're a little nervous. It's a fantastic opportunity to build confidence and experience the excitement of racing.
And Masters, we're counting on you to help make this a true whole-club event!
The more swimmers who take part, the better the atmosphere, the bigger the team competition and the more enjoyable the championships will be for everyone.
So pick your events, get those entries in and get ready for two fantastic evenings of swimming!
ππ€ One Club. One Team. Everyone Counts.
Let's make the AST Winter Club Championships 2026 our best yet! πββοΈπββοΈπ
