🏊‍♂️💙 THREE MEETS, ONE INCREDIBLE WEEKEND FOR TEAM AST! 💙🏊‍♀️ The final results are in, and WOW… what an absolutely fantastic weekend for Academy Swim Team! 🤩👏 Last weekend saw AST swimmers competing at THREE different swimming meets, with some outstanding performances, huge improvements and plenty to celebrate! 📊 THE WEEKEND IN NUMBERS 📊 🏊 28 swimmers representing AST ⏱️ 102 individual swims 🚀 78 PERSONAL BESTS! 🏆 5 CLUB RECORDS BROKEN! 📈 Over 76% of swims resulted in a PB! 💙 FIVE NEW CLUB RECORDS! 💙 An incredible FIVE club records were broken across the weekend, including FOUR by one swimmer alone! 🏆🔥 We also saw some absolutely massive improvements, with swimmers knocking over 20 seconds off their previous best times! From first-time swims and new personal bests to record-breaking performances, every single swimmer has contributed to an amazing weekend for the club. 👏 A HUGE THANK YOU! 👏 None of this would be possible without our fantastic volunteers. A massive thank you to our coaches, Team Managers and officials who gave up their time to support our swimmers across the weekend. Some of our volunteers even attended despite not having children competing, which really shows the dedication and generosity that keeps our sport going! 💙 Thank you also to all the parents and supporters who cheered our swimmers on throughout the weekend. And finally, a huge thank you to Somerset ASA for organising and delivering such a brilliant Development Meet at Millfield! 👏 💙 3 MEETS. 28 SWIMMERS. 102 SWIMS. 78 PBs. 5 CLUB RECORDS! 💙 These numbers are absolutely fantastic, but what makes us proudest is seeing our swimmers enjoying themselves, supporting their teammates, growing in confidence and putting all their hard work in training into practice.
