The first riders were already closing in on the target while swimmers completed 35,800m. With activities running at Burnham-on-Sea Swim & Sports Academy, the team asked supporters to choose the next cycling goal and follow the live tracker.
Swimmers, parents and volunteers gathered at the Swim Academy Open Day for cycle and continuous-swim challenges. The swim started early and resumed at 1pm; supporters could follow the live page or visit the academy to cheer the team on.
Masters swimming at AST continues to grow. A new Monday morning session, 5:30am–7:00am, gives adult swimmers more flexibility for fitness, competition preparation or enjoyment; it is available ad hoc for Pay As You Go swimmers and included in the monthly membership allowance.
