💙 Thank you, Nic 💙

💙 Thank you, Nic 💙 Yesterday marked Nic’s final day as Head Coach of Academy Swim Team, and while we know she didn’t want a big fuss, we couldn’t let the moment pass without saying a heartfelt thank you. Nic has been part of AST for an incredible 13 years, helping, supporting and coaching hundreds of children along the way. From countless training sessions and early mornings to galas, open meets, club events and plenty of fun in between, she has given an enormous amount to our club and its swimmers. Throughout those years, Nic’s dedication, kindness and incredible work ethic have always shone through. The time and energy she has given to AST, all while juggling a full-time job, is something we are hugely grateful for. Two years ago, Nic stepped into the role of Head Coach and has since helped guide the club through another important chapter. During that time, she oversaw the introduction of our Junior Squad, welcoming many new swimmers and their families into AST and helping them take their first steps within the club. Thirteen years is a huge part of AST's story, and Nic should be incredibly proud of the difference she has made to so many swimmers and families during that time. Nic will always be part of the AST family, and while we're respecting her wish to slip away without too much fuss, we hope she knows just how appreciated she is. Our door will always be open, Nic, and we'd be more than thrilled to see you back again one day soon! 💙 From everyone at Academy Swim Team, thank you for everything, Nic. 💙🏊‍♀️

What an amazing and gorgeous evening for AST at the Portishead Lido! ☀️🏊‍♀️ We couldn't have asked for better weather. It was an absolute pleasure having Burnham-on-Sea Swimming Club join us for the session. The truly special part of the evening was seeing absolutely everyone in the pool together, from our 7-year-old swimmers all the way up to our award-winning masters. 🌊🏆 To all the parents watching from the side, we hope you enjoyed your grandstand positions and that those ice creams were as good as they looked! 🍦😎 Hopefully, we can do it all again very soon! 💙

A huge thank you to Tracey from Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership - SASP for coming down to AST today! 👏 It was fantastic having you here to sit down with Abbie, Vicky and Lewis to discuss all things welfare. Prioritising welfare is absolutely vital for the future of swimming. By having these important conversations and working alongside experts like Tracey, we are taking proactive steps to ensure our sport remains a safe, inclusive, and positive space for everyone involved. 🏊‍♀️✨ For our parents, we hope this brings tremendous peace of mind knowing that your children are supported by a club that takes their wellbeing so seriously. And for our amazing swimmers, this means you can continue to focus on enjoying the water, developing your skills, and racing hard, knowing you have a strong, dedicated welfare team in your corner. 💙 Thank you again, Tracey, for sharing your time and expertise with us today.
